We look forward to the visit of the Archbishop on Sunday 14th March for the Service of Confirmation at 11am of 16 young people. Please remember them in your prayers at this key stage in their lives.
During Lent we continue our series of Services in church each Wednesday at 7.30pm studying the Epistle of St James
The traditional Lent Christian Aid lunches will be held from 1-2pm each Friday in the Methodist Church Hall.
There are quite a few important dates for your diary this month - in addition to our regular Services. Please visit the new Events Calendar which we hope to keep up to date with all the news of events within the parish, from Services to organizations, and other special events. If you are a leader of one of our organizations, or would like a User Name and Password to make your own announcements on the Calendar, please and we'll set one up for you. The calendar will only work if everything going on in the Parish is announcements on it, and for such a busy Parish it would be impossible for any one person to coordinate the whole job.
It is hoped that we will be getting internet access from within the Parish Hall soon, so that should make it easier for everyone...
We look forward to Palm Sunday on 4th April and our Holy Week Series each evening at 7.30pm when we will follow a devotional study the Prayer Book Gospel of each day. Please plan to attend!
The Rector wishes to correct mistaken views and reaffirm that while on the recent visit to Rome members of the Clergy Forum did not "meet the Pope". Rather, they were part of a multi-national audience of some 10 thousand at the St Peter's, which was just one of several events organised for them, including an evening with the British Ambassador with minority church leaders.
