Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for your prayer support during the recent catastrophe in the supermarket, Ycua Balaņos. We would value your continued intercessions for those injured, for those in deep grief and for those who are alongside them. We would also ask prayer for something arranged today- Bishop John is taking part, along with some other Christian leaders, in a national Consultation on Family Life. It takes place on Saturday September 10th.

Our love and greetings,

John and Judie.

In some cases parents now without several of their children, in others children who have lost their parents, many now without the breadwinner of the family. There are many still in hospital and many who have been left maimed or with respiratory problems. Although the doors to the supermarket were closed, they were not locked but the doors only opened inwards and with hundreds of people trying to get out it was impossible to open them. There are now new safety laws coming into operation.
